A Private Pilot License (PPL), is a type of License for hobby or pleasure or personal use. The authority which regulates the requirements for this license in India is the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The PPL license issued by DGCA is valid in India and a candidate can fly an aircraft for his personal work or pleasure and not for remuneration.
A Commercial Pilot License (CPL), is a type of License which allows a person to fly and earn by operating commercial passenger or cargo aircraft. The authority which regulates the requirements for this license in India is the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The CPL license issued by DGCA is valid in India and a candidate can be employed as the pilot in Government, Civil, Private, Corporate airlines, and Flying Clubs.
